I am a postdoctoral fellow working in the group of Professor Tamas Vicsek. I did my Ph.D. in statistical physics of complex systems encompassing topics of complex networks and self-organized criticality. My interests lie in modeling real world
systems. I find it challenging to successfully model real data and to extract correlations which may not be apparent.
So far I have modeled and analyzed the international trade network, Indian air traffic network and the recurrence time distribution observed in the time series of earthquakes. My recently completed projects include a consensus building problem in cohesively moving bird flocks.
